What’s it like working onsite at Wylfa Power Station?

You’ll be based full‑time on site, managing electrical maintenance in a controlled, safety-led environment. The site operates with:

 

  • Clear permits and procedures
  • Strong collaboration between engineering teams
  • High standards of compliance and documentation
  • A calm, professional pace of work compared to many commercial sites

 

You’ll also receive full training and support to work within radiological controlled areas, with medicals, PPE and protection equipment provided.


The role

As Electrical Supervisor, you’ll lead and coordinate a team of electricians to deliver safe, compliant electrical maintenance across the site.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising electrical PPM activities to achieve 100% compliance
  • Managing reactive electrical works in line with site priorities
  • Leading a team of skilled electricians and maintaining high standards
  • Estimating labour and materials for minor project works
  • Attending site meetings related to electrical activity
  • Ensuring all work meets health, safety and regulatory requirements

 

This is a hands‑on supervisory role where leadership, attention to detail and calm decision‑making are essential.


What we’re looking for

You’ll be comfortable working in a high‑standards, safety‑critical environment and supportive of structured processes and procedures.

 

Essential experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience managing skilled trades
  • Commercial or industrial electrical maintenance background
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work
  • Experience completing NICEIC certification (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with latest wiring regulations (18th Edition)
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example

Qualifications

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH or similar)
  • Full UK driving licence

 

Desirable:

  • C&G 2391 / 2394 & 2395 (Testing & Inspection)
  • SMSTS / SSSTS
  • IPAF
  • Experience in Hard FM services
